Check Your Grades
The overall grade for a course in Canvas does not always indicate your current grade for that course. It only includes the scores for assignments that your instructors have graded in Canvas. Contact your instructor to learn your current grade in the course.
Go to your desired course and click Grades on the left-hand side.
You can view the name of the assignment [1], the assignment due date [2], the score you earned [3], and the total point value of the assignment [4]. You can view the scoring details for an assignment (5) by clicking on the Check mark icon. If your instructor left feedback on your submission, a Speech Bubble icon will appear next to the check mark. There could also be a Rubric icon indicating the assignment has a rubric attached to it.
You may also see an icon in the score column [6] indicating the type of assignment you submitted. It may also have a crossed-out volume symbol to indicate that the instructor is still working on grading that assignment. Once your instructor has graded the assignment, the icon will be replaced by your score. You can print your grades (7) or view more details by clicking on the Assignment name (1).
You can also test a What-If Score by clicking on the score cell and typing in a new score. Your total grade will change to reflect what your total grade would be with that new score.
You can revert back to your original score by clicking on the arrow next to the What-If Score (1) or by selecting "Revert to Actual Score".
