This course covers techniques of the clinical laboratory including competent use of the microscope, and understanding the theory and knowledge of the common laboratory tests performed in the physician's office. Develops proficiency in laboratory and quality assurance procedures including collection, preparation and processing of specimens, urinalysis, hematology, and biopsy; as well as accurately reporting test results commonly performed in a physician's office.
