How to Connect to Campus WiFi on Other Devices-4

For common devices like Android phones/tablets or laptops, simply open your WiFi connection manager and connect to NEMCC-Secure. If you are asked to accept a certificiate, select Yes/OK. Enter your full NEMCC email address for the username (e.g., jxsmith231@tigers.nemcc.edu) and your email password to connect to the network. Once you were connected, your device will remember and automatically login in the future.

If you live on campus and have an Apple TV, Xbox, Wii, PlayStation, etc., you will need to connect to the NEMCC-Guest network and register your device on the NEMCC-Guest network with the MAC address. To do this, in a web browser on another device go to connect.nemcc.edu and login with your email address and password. Note that these types of devices are the only time you should use the NEMCC-Guest network.

  1. Click Create Device.
  2. Give the device a name. If you get an error that this username is already in use, you will need to use another name.
  3. Enter the MAC address (typically found in the settings menu of the device, sometimes there is a label on the device itself). If you need help finding your device's address, read the NEMCC help desk article How to find your MAC address (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site. Links to an external site.
  4. If your device supports Airprint or Airplay, check the Enable Airgroup checkbox. In the Shared With field, type your username. This will be the part of your e-mail address before the @ symbol. For instance, if your email address is student@tigers.nemcc.edu, your username will be "student".
  5. Read the terms of use and check I am the owner of this device.
  6. Click Create Device
